Organisational Advice and Support was formed by Nick Price in 2008

Our Mission
To provide practical advice and support to community groups, voluntary organisations and small and medium-sized businesses enabling them to improve personal, team and organisational performance whilst preserving their aims and passion.

Our People

Nick Price
Nick has extensive experience of working across voluntary, public and quasi-private sectors at frontline, Director and Board levels.

Nick has a track-record of leadership with senior teams, providing authoritative direction, clarity of purpose and practical support and is skilled at delivering complex, multi-site businesses (including social enterprises) achieving substantial growth and meeting their key business objectives.

Nick is experienced in developing quality management systems and continuous improvement methods heading up a large voluntary organisation’s Quality Management function.

Nick’s works positively with people from all backgrounds and at all levels and has a longstanding commitment to taking practical action to tackling inequality and discrimination.

Nicholas Atampugre

Nicholas has over 20 years of experience in the development sector, and is based in Accra, Ghana. He has played a key role in shaping Development Policy, Designing bi-lateral aid programmes and promoting Aid Effectiveness in Sub-Saharan Africa. Dr. Atampugre has gained a wealth of experience supporting the organisation development of Civil Society Organisations and promoting the adoption of a range of policies at the national and sub-regional level. He is a champion of consortia and cooperation via shared learning on a regional basis.

His wide ranging expertise includes extensive work on monitoring and evaluation as well as learning reviews. He is a skilled facilitator with competence in the use of participatory approaches to enhance shared learning.

Ranjana Bell

Ranjana has nearly 30 years of experience in the field of Equality and Diversity and has been recognised for her contribution to region by being awarded the ‘Lifetime Community Achievement Award’ from the Taste of Africa Diversity Awards (October 2009).

Ranjana has worked with public sector organisations in the designing of ‘Equality Schemes’ and has produced Equality Impact Assessment Frameworks. She has also conducted Equality Impact Assessments. She has delivered equality and diversity training to many public sector organisations in the UK including local authorities; health services; police; fire services and housing providers. She is now running Master Classes in Hate Crime and Equality and Diversity.

Ranjana is experienced in working with partnerships as she is Chair of the North East Equality and Diversity Partnership / Board (NEEDP/B) and the Strategic Independent Advisory Group for Northumbria Police (SIAG). She is currently the Chair of the NE CPS Scrutiny Panel for Race and Religious Hate Crime.

Helen Frankenburg

Helen delivers leadership programmes to the public sector and she brings with her a number of assessment and organisational development tools – these include 360 Transformational Leadership (TLQ), action learning, medical leadership competency framework and investment in excellence (IIE). She has experience of their use with boards, clinicians, elected members, directors and managers at all levels as well as similar materials for frontline staff and community representatives.

Helen has extensive experience of facilitation skills and training others to facilitate more effectively especially in partnership working or where there are conflicts.

Her experience includes team building, coaching, communication, equality and diversity, performance management, strategic policy making, action planning and implementation.

Prior to working as a consultant Helen has worked in local government, the voluntary sector and in health. She has a degree in psychology.

Iain Kitt
Director of Iain Kitt Consulting

Iain is a successful consultant who specialises in a number of areas including commissioning, partnership development, voluntary sector support and user engagement.

Prior to becoming a consultant he spent 17 years working at senior levels in local government and the NHS. He has considerable experience in commissioning health and social care services and has worked with GPs in a variety of GP lead commissioning arrangements. He has also supported voluntary sector organisations through the commissioning process.

He has carried out a number of evaluations for both statutory and third sector bodies. He has also worked to develop user engagement in health and social care services.

He has extensive knowledge of services for older people especially how preventative strategies can support older people to remain healthy and well.

With excellent verbal and written communication skills he is used to delivering high quality reports and presentations to large and small audiences ranging from the public and users through to senior management teams, boards and politicians.
